2026 Ford Maverick for Sale in Leduc, Alberta

The 2026 Ford Maverick gives Leduc drivers the everyday convenience of a compact vehicle with the open-bed versatility of a pickup truck. Its manageable size makes it easy to drive around town, while its standard SuperCrew cabin, flexible cargo box, and available all-wheel-drive and 4WD systems help it handle work, recreation, and changing Alberta road conditions.

The 2026 Maverick lineup includes XL, XLT, Lobo, Lariat, and Tremor. Buyers can choose between a 2.5L hybrid powertrain and a 2.0L EcoBoost gas engine, depending on trim. Front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and Advanced 4WD configurations are available across the lineup.

Every Maverick has a four-door SuperCrew cabin and Ford's FLEXBED pickup box, which can be equipped with tie-down rails, bedliners, tonneau covers, storage accessories, and other equipment for work or weekend use.

What's New for the 2026 Ford Maverick?

The 2026 Maverick introduces new colour, connectivity, and equipment choices while keeping its hybrid, street-performance, and off-road configurations intact.

New for 2026, the 2.0L EcoBoost engine can be ordered with front-wheel drive on base XL and XLT trims, alongside the all-wheel drive setups available across the lineup.

Light Blue and Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat join the exterior colour selection. Power-sliding rear window availability has also shifted for 2026: it's now optional rather than standard on Lariat and Tremor, and newly optional on select XLT and Maverick Lobo configurations.

A new Ford Connectivity Package includes features like an available Wi-Fi hotspot, audio and video streaming, a voice assistant, and entertainment services. An initial one-year access period is included on eligible vehicles, while a one-time-purchase option can extend access up to seven years on the original vehicle.

The 2026 order guide also updates spare-tire availability by trim and powertrain, and adjusts the content of the XLT Luxury Package and FX4 Off-Road Package. Exact Canadian equipment and package availability depends on trim, powertrain, and equipment group.

2026 Ford Maverick Powertrain Options

2.5L Hybrid

Combines a gasoline engine with an electric motor and a power-split electric continuously variable transmission.

Front-wheel drive is standard with the hybrid on XL and XLT, while all-wheel drive is available. Maverick Lariat can also be equipped with the hybrid, paired with standard all-wheel drive.

The Maverick hybrid isn't a plug-in vehicle. Its battery charges while driving and through regenerative braking, so no external charging station is needed.

For drivers who spend most of their time commuting, running errands, or travelling around Leduc and Edmonton, the hybrid offers an alternative to a conventional gas-only compact truck.

2.0L EcoBoost

Paired with an eight-speed automatic on Maverick XL, XLT, and Lariat. New for 2026, EcoBoost can be ordered with front-wheel drive on base XL and XLT trims, alongside the all-wheel drive setups available elsewhere in the lineup and standard on Lariat.

The 2.0L EcoBoost is also used in Maverick Lobo and Tremor, though each gets its own transmission, drivetrain, and chassis setup. Lobo pairs the EcoBoost with a seven-speed Quick Shift transmission and Advanced 4WD. Tremor uses an eight-speed automatic with Advanced 4WD and off-road-developed equipment.

Front-Wheel Drive, All-Wheel Drive, and Advanced 4WD

The Maverick offers several drivetrain configurations for different types of driving.

Front-wheel drive is standard with the hybrid on XL and XLT. Hybrid all-wheel drive is available on both, while all-wheel drive is standard on Maverick Lariat.

The EcoBoost engine pairs with front-wheel drive on base XL and XLT (new for 2026) or all-wheel drive across the lineup, standard with all-wheel drive on Lariat. Maverick Lobo and Tremor use Ford's Advanced 4WD system with a twin-clutch rear drive unit.

Advanced 4WD lets Lobo and Tremor direct power between the rear wheels to support their specialized performance goals: Lobo is tuned for handling and paved-road performance, Tremor for traction and control on trails and loose surfaces.

Maverick Towing Capability

The 2026 Ford Maverick offers increased towing capability when properly configured with a compatible powertrain, all-wheel drive, and the available 4K Tow Package.

The 4K Tow Package can be added to eligible XL, XLT, and Lariat models (Ford Co-Pilot360 is required on XL and XLT to add this package). Package equipment includes:

  • Integrated trailer brake controller
  • Class III two-inch trailer hitch receiver
  • Four-pin and seven-pin trailer connections
  • Upgraded cooling fan
  • Powertrain-specific cooling upgrades (transmission oil cooler on hybrid, higher-capacity radiator on 2.0L gas)
  • Conventional spare tire

Actual towing capacity depends on the individual truck, powertrain, drivetrain, equipment, passengers, cargo, and trailer setup. Always confirm the rating with DK Ford before towing.

Payload and Everyday Truck Utility

Select 2026 Maverick configurations offer a maximum available payload capacity of up to 1,500 lbs.

Payload ratings vary by engine, drivetrain, and trim. The hybrid AWD, Lobo, and Tremor carry different ratings due to their powertrain and specialized equipment.

The Maverick works well for carrying home-improvement supplies, sports equipment, camping gear, landscaping materials, and other everyday cargo without needing the size of a full-size pickup.

FLEXBED Storage System

Every 2026 Maverick includes Ford's FLEXBED Storage System.

Six standard tie-down points help secure cargo, with additional tie-down rails and locking brackets available.

Depending on the selected model and equipment, available bed features include:

  • Bed tie-down locking rails
  • Passenger-side storage cubby
  • LED box lighting
  • Bed extender
  • Spray-in or drop-in bedliner
  • Removable bed mat
  • Cargo-management crossbars
  • Hard and soft tonneau covers
  • Swing-case storage boxes
  • Pro Power Onboard

The tailgate and box can accommodate a wide range of cargo layouts, useful for bikes, tools, camping equipment, and household projects.

Available 4K Tow and FX4 Packages

4K Tow Package

Increases the Maverick's maximum available towing capacity when paired with a compatible engine and all-wheel-drive configuration. On XL and XLT, it requires Ford Co-Pilot360. Adds an integrated brake controller, upgraded cooling, and a conventional spare tire on top of hitch and trailer connections.

FX4 Off-Road Package

Available on eligible Maverick XLT models equipped with the XLT Luxury Package, and can't be combined with the Black Appearance Package.

FX4 equipment includes:

  • All-terrain tires
  • Exposed front tow hooks
  • Performance-tuned suspension
  • Skid plates
  • Hill Descent Control
  • Off-road information screen
  • Off-Road drive mode
  • Upgraded radiator and cooling fan
  • Conventional spare tire
  • FX4 box graphics

FX4 adds trail equipment without requiring buyers to move to the more specialized Maverick Tremor.

2026 Ford Maverick Lobo

The Maverick Lobo is the street-performance model in the 2026 lineup, combining a 2.0L EcoBoost engine with Advanced 4WD and a seven-speed Quick Shift transmission. Paddle shifters give the driver extra control, while model-specific steering, brakes, suspension, and ride height set the Lobo apart from other Maverick models.

Lobo Drive Mode gives drivers another selectable setting tuned for the Lobo's performance goals. It also gets a unique front fascia, black-painted roof, painted body components, and 19-inch turbofan-style black wheels.

Lobo comes standard with:

  • Heated front seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • B&O audio system
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Power moonroof
  • 360-Degree Camera
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Pro Trailer Backup Assist
  • Pro Trailer Hitch Assist
  • Pro Power Onboard
  • Spray-in bedliner

Lobo suits drivers who want a practical compact pickup with sharper on-road handling and distinctive street styling.

2026 Ford Maverick Tremor

The Maverick Tremor is the most off-road-focused model in the lineup, including the 2.0L EcoBoost engine, Advanced 4WD, and a twin-clutch rear drive unit with an electronically controlled rear lock. Its off-road-tuned suspension provides increased ride height, with model-specific springs and shocks for rougher terrain.

Additional Tremor equipment includes:

  • Underbody skid plates
  • All-terrain tires
  • Front tow hooks
  • Improved front approach angle
  • Off-Road drive mode
  • Trail Control
  • Trail 1-Pedal Drive
  • Off-road information screen
  • 400-watt Pro Power Onboard
  • An integrated trailer hitch receiver with 4-pin connector
  • Tremor exterior graphics and orange accents

Tremor also includes much of the comfort and technology found in the Maverick Lariat, including heated seating, advanced driver assistance, and a premium interior.

SYNC 4 and Connected Technology

Every 2026 Maverick includes SYNC 4 with a 13.2-inch centre touchscreen.

Standard connectivity includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, cloud-connected functionality, Ford App access, and USB ports in the front and rear seating areas.

Available or included technology can also provide:

  • Connected navigation
  • Unlimited Wi-Fi hotspot access
  • Audio and video streaming
  • Voice-assistant services
  • Remote start
  • Remote locking and unlocking
  • Vehicle location through the Ford App
  • Vehicle-health information
  • B&O audio system
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Power moonroof
  • Power-sliding rear window

Connected services require activation and can be affected by network availability, service plans, and vehicle equipment.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Driver Assistance

The 2026 Maverick includes several standard driver-assistance technologies, with additional systems available through Ford Co-Pilot360 packages or higher trims.

Standard and available features include:

  • Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Pedestrian Detection
  • Forward Collision Warning
  • Intersection Assist
  • Lane-Keeping System
  • Road Edge Detection
  • Automatic high beams
  • Blind Spot Assist
  • BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert
  • Exit Warning
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Rear Cross-Traffic Braking
  • 360-Degree Camera
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go
  • Lane Centering
  • Front parking sensors
  • Reverse Brake Assist

Lariat and higher Lobo equipment groups also include Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist.

These systems assist the driver. They don't replace attentive driving, safe decision-making, or proper control of the truck and trailer.
